The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed in regards to the large number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The here purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] here is to reach-out to the significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office devoted to service the area every day. The service position created for intervention encounters a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to help the servicing of all buyers and improve entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
